Going on a first date is like interviewing someone for a job. Half of what you hear is either embellished, modified, or a blatant lie. If you’ve been out with more than a handful of people, then some of these lines should sound familiar to you. But if not, consider yourself enlightened.

1. “I’m a simple guy.”
Yup, he’s just your average Joe who appreciates life’s simplest pleasures: a freshly ironed shirt, a cold beer on a summer evening, and the love of a good woman.

The truth: The only people who will insist that they are simple are the ones who are insecure about their angst, their emotions, and how other people perceive them. In other words, they’re complicated. A guy who is naturally down-to-earth and unpretentious would win you over by being himself, not by verbally persuading you that he’s a “chilled, easygoing dude.” Not that there’s anything wrong with guys who aren’t simple, but if you’re going to date someone who’s a little more high-maintenance, at least be with a guy who can acknowledge it.

2. “I hate playing games.”
Games like “hot and cold,” “we broke up but let’s be friends,” and “I’ll wait three days before calling a girl” are for amateurs. If he likes you, he’ll act on it. If he doesn’t, he’ll make it clear.

The truth: This person doesn’t hate playing games. He or she hates being played with. Chances are, if they have to bring up “games” on a first date, they’ve been burnt before and are dead set against it happening again. Telling you that they hate playing games also absolves them from the guilt of leading you on. If you get upset at him for not calling you after he said he would, then it’s your fault for not understanding that some people change their minds. If you get angry at him for “stringing you along” only to dump you after meeting someone better, well, you’re the psycho for falling in love with him when he clearly wasn’t ready to commit. He wasn’t the one playing games, you were the one over-analysing his actions.

3. “I’m just an old-fashioned guy/girl.”
This is exactly the type of person you’d want to bring home to your parents. She’s a domestic goddess who makes her noodles from scratch, who would rather read a book than go clubbing, and whose dream in life is to be a stay-at-home mum. And if your date is a guy, he’s a “man’s man” who drives a car, holds conservative family values, and can smoke Cuban cigars with your dad.

The truth: This person isn’t old-fashioned. He or she is a normal person playing up their traditional aspects to seem as inoffensive as possible. But honestly, who wants to date someone that’s boring and unrelatable? Your date’s got to have a weird streak. Praise that quality when it comes out so that he or she will feel more comfortable acting like a contemporary person.

4. “I LOVE the great outdoors!”
Rock-climbing? Water sports? Running up Bukit Kiara Track at five in the morning on a Sunday? BRING IT ON.

The truth: Well, of course there are people who love getting bitten by mosquitoes and being one with nature. But until your date is willing to rough it out in the jungle with you, “loving the great outdoors” probably means strolling through Starhill beneath the safety of her UV-protective umbrella.

5. “I go to the gym every day.”
Crossfit, cardio, pilates – the only thing he loves more than romancing pretty ladies is looking like Ryan Gosling without a shirt on.

The truth: Unless this guy works in the gym as a trainer, he’s probably bluffing. Maybe he goes five days a week. Maybe he goes for three. Or maybe he goes every day but spends two out of seven days just drinking smoothies and catching up with his bros. If the guy is really clever, he’ll tell you one day that he’s reducing his “daily” gym routine to three days a week so that you have more time together.

6. “I’m so over my ex.”
That b*tch is old news. He doesn’t even remember her name anymore!

The truth: ALERT. ALERT. What kind of person mentions their ex that early in a relationship? The type of person who is clearly still thinking about her – and comparing the two of you as he speaks. Granted, everyone compares their new flame to their ex at one point or another, but you should be with someone who’s at least recovered from their heartbreak enough not to bring it up on a first date.

7. “I’m 25 years old.”
Twenty-five years old, the prime age for one’s future wife. You’ll date for two years, get married when she’s 27, and have your first child when she’s 28. Perfect timing.

The truth: By 25, she means 25 years, 11 months, and 28 days. Or maybe she’s 27 and was just rounding down. Women lie about their age and weight all the time on dates, the same way that guys lie about their job scope or earning power. This is especially common when she’s older than you, but looks young for her age. Once things get serious, find out her actual birthday, lest you receive a cruel surprise after getting engaged. Not that there’s anything wrong with dating women who are past 30, but honesty should always be at the foundation of a relationship.

8. (For guys): “My favourite movie is The Godfather.” (For girls): “My favourite movie is Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

What a cultured, intelligent person. He probably collects vinyl records and reads Ernest Hemingway, while she listens to jazz radio and only shops in thrift stores.
The truth: By “The Godfather” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” most people actually mean Gladiator or The Notebook. Does your date watch any other classic movies? Have they bothered to explore anything other than the default choices for classic films? If not, then you can relax. This person’s taste is as pedestrian as yours.

9. “This food is delicious!”
The two of you like the same food, so this probably means that you’re soul mates.

The truth: At last, we’ve arrived at an acceptable fib. Most people would try to pick the most “normal” cuisine possible for a first date, such as pasta or sushi because who doesn’t like pasta or sushi? Unfortunately, there’s always a chance that your restaurant choice was a dud but the other person is too polite to complain. Don’t worry. If things go well, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to find eateries that you both like.

10. “My life’s pretty great right now.”
She’s got a stable income, an awesome job, tons of friends, a drama-free family, and perfect health. In other words, it’s time to lock her down and put a ring on it.

The truth: Her life might be good, but it’s not perfect. Surely there’s something she’s unhappy with, but don’t take this as a fault – take it as a boon! Not only is she smart enough to not complain about her life on a first date, but she’s actually taken the time to express gratitude for all the good things that she’s experiencing. Her struggles will come out eventually, but at least you will know that she’s got the attitude to handle it.

11. “Oh no, my grandma’s in the hospital!”
She’s so sorry to leave you hanging, but her grandma fell down the stairs so she needs to rush out. No, she doesn’t need a ride. No, she doesn’t need you to accompany her. This night was so great, the two of you will have to make it up another time. Bye!

The truth: The date was terrible and she needed a convenient excuse to leave. Better luck next time.

12. “Oh, this old thing?”
The guy: That’s a great dress.
The girl: Oh, this old thing? Haha, thanks. I don’t normally wear dresses. I forgot that I even had it.

The truth: Are you kidding? She loves this dress. She looks bangin’ and she knows it. She might have been self-effacing in her bid to sound humble, but you should know that she’s been saving this outfit for a special occasion – and that special occasion was a night out with you. Call her!

Refocus
When you look in the mirror what do you see? Do you see all of your good points – your dazzling eyes, your plump lips and your shining hair – or do you see all of your ‘bad’ features? We bet you tend to focus more on those aspects that you perceive as being bad. If you do, you need to retrain your way of thinking and give your best bits more attention. From now on, when you look in the mirror redirect your focus on why you look good. You’ll be amazed how much this simple trick can boost your self-confidence and help you to feel 100 times prettier.

Diet
Do you eat foods that will help you to feel beautiful? We hope so. If you don’t, start today. Eat foods that are rich in protein, omega-3, iron and biotin, such as salmon, tuna, eggs, nuts and berries. Foods that contain these nutrients will keep your complexion clear, your skin bright and your hair shining. You should also try to stay hydrated by drinking water and herbal teas.

Three compliments
To feel beautiful today you need to start focusing on some of those lovely compliments you have received. Try to remember three compliments that you’re really proud of. If you can, it’s best to try to focus on three compliments that reflect your different skills, as well as your looks. For example, you might have been praised on a good bit of work or been told that your half marathon time was fantastic. Try to remember that these compliments are how other people see you and that they reflect the person others see when they look at you. This should give your confidence an instant boost and remind you that you are fabulous, beautiful and perfect.

Ace the base
Acing the base is all about making sure your canvas (your face) is well prepped. To banish blemishes and treat your skin to a hydration boost cleanse your skin using milk. Boil some milk in a pan and empty it into a bowl. Grab a towel and steam your face using the milk cleanser. Once you’ve cleansed your skin, it’s time to exfoliate your lips. To do this you can use an exfoliating lip scrub, which you apply in circular motions to keep lips smooth and kissable.  These simple beauty tricks will ensure your skin is clear, soft and gorgeous.

Perfect pout
For full-lipped, pout perfection grab your highlighter and apply a dab of either your powder or liquid to the bow of your lips. Then blend. Apply your highlighter after you have applied your lipstick or lipgloss though. Adding highlighter to the bow of your lips makes them appear bigger and will give your pout an instant plump. It’s also worth noting that women with fuller lips are perceived as being younger than women with thinner lips, so get highlighting ladies.

Posture
Standing up straight makes you look taller, more confident and slimmer. Maintaining a good posture can be difficult though. A great trick that will help you keep straight-backed is to place your back against a wall whenever you feel yourself slouching.  Standing with your back and your head against the walls ‘resets’ your posture and will ensure your hips and ears are aligned and that your spine is curved in an S shape, as it should be.

Smoky sensation
Smoky eyes can look incredible, but only if done well. If you’re heading out tonight, make sure your eyeshadow stays beautiful by wearing an eyeshadow primer. This will stop the shadow from sliding down your face during the night.  You should also always pat off any excess eyeshadow from your brush before applying to your eye and always blend your eyeshadow once applied. To soften this look use cream eyeliners on your top lash line as opposed to using pencil eyeliner.

Get a glow
When your skin is dull and washed out you feel dull and washed out. Brighten skin and give it a dewy, radiant glow by adding a drop of illuminating primer into your foundation. This will give your skin a beautiful luminosity, but won’t make your skin look too shiny.  To finish this look, apply a bronzer to your cheekbones for a touch of warmth and to add definition.

No more spots
Waking up to find you’ve got a pimple can ruin your day, especially if you had a night out planned or a special dinner.  To reduce the swelling and redness of your spot you can run an ice cube over it. If your ice cube is fresh out of the freezer make sure you wrap it in a towel or piece of fabric before applying to your skin – burnt skin looks far worse than a little blemish.

New hair
Sometimes we all need a little makeover, but money, time and a lack of inspiration can become obstacles that prevent us from achieving these transformations. A simple way to change your image is to try out a new hairstyle. You don’t need to change the colour or cut to do this, simply try out new looks. You could opt for a super sleek ballet bun, a side pony, a retro victory roll, a messy up do or even a beehive.  Little changes like this can give you the transformation you craved without breaking your budget.

Assalamuaikum guys!! today wanna share with u guys Do's and Don'ts of dieting....if u are try to diet..this article might help u guys  coz u guys deserve for a better life...here some of tips during diet...its not hard to do it but its really hard to sustain it...but keep on try..u can do it guys!!

Do Drink Plenty of Water

People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. So you can end up eating extra calories when a glass of water is really what you need. If you don't like plain water, try adding a splash of juice or a squeeze of lemon or lime.

Do Think About Adding Healthy Foods to Your Meals and Snacks

You can start by focusing on getting the recommended 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. You'll be less likely to overeat because fruits and vegetables displace fat in the diet. And that's not to mention the numerous health benefits of eating more fruits and vegetables.  You can work vegetables into meals instead of just serving them as sides on a plate: try stir-fries, frittatas, risotto, pilafs, soups, or using them as layers on your sandwiches.

Do Ask Yourself If You're Really Hungry

Whenever you feel like eating, look for physical signs of hunger such as an empty feeling in your stomach, growling, rumbling or gurgling stomach sounds, lightheadedness, irritability, headache or lack of concentration. Hunger is your body's way of telling you that you need fuel.  Remember that when a craving doesn't come from hunger, eating will never satisfy it. Also, when you're done eating, you should feel better – not stuffed, bloated, or tired. Keep in mind that your stomach is only the size of your fist, so it takes just a handful of food to fill it comfortably.

Do Be Careful About Nighttime Snacks

Mindless eating occurs most frequently after dinner, when you finally sit down and relax – and mindless eating is something you definitely want to avoid, especially late at night!

Sitting down with a bag of chips or cookies in front of the television is an example of eating mindlessly, where you keep snacking without being hungry. Some ways to avoid this are to close down the kitchen after a certain hour, or allow yourself a low-calorie snack, like a 100-calorie pack of cookies or a half-cup scoop of low-fat ice cream, or try a glass of water or a cup of zero-calorie tea.

Do Enjoy Your Favorite Foods

Putting your favorite foods off-limits could actually cause you to gain weight, because it can lead to  “rebound overeating." Instead of cutting out your favorite foods altogether, try to be a smart shopper: buy one fresh bakery cookie instead of a box, or a small portion of candy from the bulk bins instead of a whole bag. The key is to enjoy your favorite foods, but in moderation.

Do Spice It Up!

Try adding some spices or chilies to your food for a flavor boost that can help you feel satisfied. Food that is loaded with flavor stimulates your taste buds, so you won't eat as much.
Do Be Physically Active

Exercise helps you feel better, helps you sleep better and gives you more energy. Physical activity is good for you whether you are trying to lose weight or not. And, remember, the key to losing weight is burning more energy than you eat. Exercise helps you do that.

Do Stock Your Kitchen With Healthy Food

Healthy weight starts with healthy shopping. Use a shopping list to curb impulse buying, don't shop when you're hungry, and know that grocery stores do their best to put tempting (and unhealthy) foods in prime locations to try and lure you into buying things you didn't plan to buy.   Healthy foods to include in your shopping list, (1) fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, and cheese; (2) eggs or egg substitutes; (3) white meat chicken or turkey; (4) fish and shellfish (not battered); (5) dry beans and peas; (6) fresh, frozen, and canned fruits and vegetables and beans; (7) 94% fat-free microwave popcorn (20-25 calories per cup, and you can make it in two minutes or less); (8) bags of pre-washed greens; and (9) whole-grain wraps or pitas. This is just a start there are many healthy foods just waiting for you.

Do Eat Healthy Snacks

Light and frequent healthy snacks are a good way to avoid unhealthy food cravings. Having a handful of walnuts or eating a banana in the middle of the day for an energy boost is much better for you than eating a candy bar. Also, spacing your meals and snacks three to four hours apart helps keep your body fueled with energy. You want to try and pick foods that have whole grains, and look for snacks with protein to help you maintain your energy level. Healthy snacking can help you enjoy eating and keep you energized throughout the day.
Do Make Breakfast Easy

Breakfast may be considered the most important meal of the day, but it doesn’t have to be the most time-consuming. You can save a lot of time and energy by keeping this meal simple by trying high-fiber cereal, whole-grain toast, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. All of these are foods you can throw together in just a few minutes.  If you don't even have time for those foods, try to plan ahead: if you’re constantly rushing out the door in the morning, keep trail mix and dried fruit stashed in your car’s glove box, granola bars in your purse or bag, and packets of oatmeal in your desk at work.

Do Eat Healthy Foods

Instead of focusing on making certain foods off limits, you should try to concentrate on adding healthy foods that you enjoy to your diet.

Some good ideas include:

    Cholesterol-lowering oatmeal for breakfast;
    Nuts rich in monounsaturated fat, such as almonds, pecans, and walnuts;
Adding beans to salads, pasta, and stews – chick peas, kidney beans, and navy beans.

Don't Watch Too Much TV

It might not seem like watching TV can make you overweight, but the more you watch TV, the less active you are. It means you're exercising less and being exposed to more food commercials.  Remember – more activity means you're burning more calories.

Don't Be Afraid to Quit Smoking

Quitting smoking is the single biggest way you can improve your health. Don't let fear of weight gain keep you smoking!

If you are worried about gaining weight while you're trying to quit smoking, you should think about becoming more physically active, improving your eating habits, and developing a treatment plan with your doctor before you try to stop smoking.

Don’t Starve Yourself

Starving yourself only hurts you. While you will lose weight, you'll be losing up to 50% of that weight from muscle tissue, not from fat. And that sets you up for pure disaster. Muscles are your body’s engines and losing muscle means you're losing the ability to burn calories. Remember, burning off more calories than you consume is the key to losing weight. By losing muscle, you're just making it harder for you in the long run.
